Bollinger Reversal

IndicatorReversal

Strategy Overview

Bollinger Reversal is an indicator-based re-entry strategy. A close outside a Bollinger Band starts a possible setup. A later close back across the band, with the confirming candle colour, creates a long or short signal at that candle's close.

Bollinger Reversal long setup: green candle closes back above the lower band

Long Setup Example

How the setup works

  • A close above the upper band or below the lower band begins the setup; it does not enter a trade.
  • For a short signal, price later closes at or below the upper band on a red candle. For a long signal, price later closes at or above the lower band on a green candle.
  • A qualifying signal enters at the confirming candle close. Long and short directions follow symmetric rules.
